![]() As right now it reports I'm using between 14-16GB Ram out of 8GB, I'm not using any swap space, using 1GB Cache Files. This may not be exact, but from a perspective to get the basics. But can be transfererred to another program that has a spike in higher with higher demand. That memory seen there is not "owned" by the process/application in question. ![]() The main perported memory numbers displayed beside the program's processs is is only it's temp allocated assigned ram to "speed up" loads between programs. So to propery read the memory usage you have to look at "Memory Pressure" and "Wired Memory". ![]() Ram usuage is always high on OSX due to the way it's memory management works. Battery usage still a good (no where near as good as Safari) but it uses 2-3 notches less then Chrome does. All 3 of my OSX desktop machines, plus one macbook 8GB with HD3000 iGPU only and not seeing what is described in this thread. ![]()
